I've checked it against the brief. The product description is consistent. Pricing still needs a review.

Clear permissions.

Agents get explicit access. Asking for more in a conversation doesn't expand their permissions.

Share with intention.

Give people Admin, Editor, or Viewer access to a Space. Share selected content with another workspace and revoke access when needed.

Private means personal.

Your Personal Agent belongs to you. Direct Messages are end-to-end encrypted. Shared conversations belong in Channels.

Know where work runs.

Use configured runtime hosts for agent work. If a device is offline, work assigned to it waits.

Review before the next step.

Keep proposed actions and email drafts in view. See when a request needs your decision.

A few answers

Before you
settle in.

What is Echo?

Echo is a desktop workspace for your team and AI agents. It brings conversations, Docs, work Lists, and Mail together so you can ask for help where the work already lives.

How do I get access?

Echo costs $30 USD per person, per month. Subscribe, download the desktop app, and verify your signup email to start onboarding. Cancel anytime; app access continues through your paid period. Invited members can still use their invitation.

Can I choose my own AI model?

Yes. Connect a supported provider account or API key, then choose the provider and model for each agent. Available models depend on your connection and workspace settings.

What can my agents access?

Personal Agents act within your access and their explicit permissions. Space Agents have their own scoped permissions. An agent's instructions do not give it access to more of your workspace.

Does local-first mean everything stays on my computer?

No. Echo combines a desktop app with hosted collaboration services. AI providers receive the context needed for your requests. Where an agent runs depends on its configuration, and work assigned to an offline device waits until that device is available.

Which platforms are available?

Echo supports macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, and Windows x64. Windows installers are unsigned. The release portal has protected release history and member downloads.
